creating champion companions
Companion Dogs
We train dogs to be Companion Dogs and/or Emotional Support dogs for service Veterans. The first dog we trained for this purpose was our own Zebediah who went to a service Veteran in Kansas City. Zeb has worked out very nicely for the Veteran and he is very pleased with Zeb's manners and companionship. We work with organizations who help link the Veteran with one of our dogs. It's important for companion dogs to have basic obedience skills, mild mannerisms, and advanced abilities to be calm and composed in social situations such as stores, restaurants, and sporting events. Below are the dogs that we have trained or are currently in the training process to be a Companion Dog.
Testimonials from Service Veterans who received a dog from us:
"Good Morning from Zeb and I. I'm sorry I haven't kept in touch. I have been busy and kind of going through stuff. Seems to come in waves, but I don't know what I would have done had I not had Zeb there with me. He is doing great and I hope you know how grateful I am for him. Definitely going to work on keeping in touch Sir." Trent
Quote from Service Veteran from North Carolina who received Avery from us:
"Big thanks to Red Rooster Retrievers, FISH, Jeff Brinkley, Amy McDonald Ward and all of the great folks who made this union possible. Avery and I have bonded on a level that is not only surprising but exciting at the same time as I feel drawn to her, and she is in my hip pocket everywhere I go. She sleeps in my bed, sits in the seat next to me in the car, she even tried to get in the shower with me...Lol. She's a great addition to our family and we are looking forward to many happiness and craziness with my Avery girl." Donald
