Puppy Health Guarantee
General Health Guarantee from Red Rooster Retrievers:
Hip Dysplasia:
Our puppies are guaranteed to be free from hip dysplasia until 26 months of age if the stipulations listed below are met. The OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) will be the sole determiner.
Hereditary Eye Defects:
Our puppies are guaranteed to be free from hereditary eye defects until 26 months of age if the stipulations listed below are met. A CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) certified veterinarian must confirm any hereditary eye defects.
Stipulations:
To be covered by our guarantee the following stipulations apply:
1. The dog must not have sired or whelped a litter of puppies.
2. The dog must be owned by the person/persons that originally purchased it from Bryon Hahn, Red Rooster Retrievers.
3. The dog must show no evidence of neglect, abuse, disease, fever, viral and bacterial build up, improper nutrition, injury or accidents contributing to non-genetic hip or eye defects.
If your puppy is diagnosed by OFA as having hip dysplasia or diagnosed by a CERF certified veterinarian with retinal atrophy or retinal dysplasia, we will replace it with a puppy of comparable breeding. For replacement, we require all documentation from OFA and/or CERF and a written statement from your veterinarian confirming that the dog has been spayed or neutered. NOTE: We do not require the return of the original puppy purchased.
Notify us by mail or e-mail if you have any hip dysplasia or eye dysplasia concerns from your veterinarian. This guarantee applies only to hereditary defects and is valid only to the original purchaser of the dog. Injury to the dog or breeding of the dog prior to clearance by both OFA and CERF shall void this guarantee.
