A mutual agreement is established between both parties prior to the breeding process. AKC litter registration confirmation will not occur until full payment is received. The stud owners reserve the right to select a puppy from the litter instead of receiving a stud fee; however, notification must occur before the female whelps.
If artificial insemination (AI) is deemed necessary, the stud owner will communicate this option, and any associated AI charges will be due upon pickup post-breeding. The original deposit will apply to a second breeding if the initial attempt does not result in a successful pregnancy. If fewer than four puppies are whelped, a repeat breeding will occur at half the stud fee. If more than four puppies are born, any mortality will be viewed as a successful breeding, and the full stud fee will be payable.
